ElectronTrail - an analog CRT television you can explore in 3D, from plug to picture

We have launched ElectronTrail, an interactive 3D web app that follows the electron signal through an analog CRT television, from the wall plug to the picture on the screen. It covers PAL, NTSC and SECAM, is bilingual, needs no account and uses no trackers.

ElectronTrail is our new interactive, scientifically grounded 3D journey through an analog CRT television. It runs entirely in the browser and follows the electron signal stage by stage, from the wall plug to the finished picture on the screen.

From the plug to the picture

You travel along the signal path in 3D, stopping at each stage to see what happens and why. The abstract idea of a video signal becomes something you can watch take shape, from the moment power reaches the set to the moving image on the screen.

The analog standards

ElectronTrail covers the real analog broadcast standards PAL, NTSC and SECAM and explains how they differ in the way they carry colour and timing. It is built to reflect how analog television actually worked, keeping the explanations honest rather than oversimplified.

Open to everyone

The app is fully available in English and Polish, runs in any modern browser, needs no account and uses no trackers.
