Working hours are yours to set. Nine to five is a convention, not a fact about the people you are meeting.

How this is worked out
One day, one row per participant's time zone, 24 cells each. The columns are the anchor zone's hours - yours, usually - and each cell shows what time that is for everybody else, coloured by whether it falls inside their working hours, their waking hours or the night.
Working hours are a field, not an assumption. Nine to five is a convention in some places and not in others, and a planner that hard-codes it is quietly wrong for a good part of the world.
The overlap is stated in words as well as in colour: how many hours work for everybody, and which ones. When there is no overlap at all, it says that instead of showing a strip with nothing highlighted and leaving you to work it out.
