About

DrawMyPlace pairs a precise 2D floor-plan editor with an interactive 3D model generated from the same geometry, then turns it into a full electrical planning workspace. Draw walls, rooms, doors and windows with snapping, grid and angle constraints, place electrical points, route cables by hand and manage circuits, boxes and distribution boards. A live material counter, a bill of materials with CSV export, a cost estimate, project variants with side-by-side comparison and a configurable validation engine keep every project honest. It is bilingual (Polish/English), local-first with autosave, and built on a clean, framework-free domain core. DrawMyPlace supports spatial planning, documentation and material estimation - it does not replace a design prepared or verified by a qualified electrician.

02 / Use case

What it solves

The problem
  • Sockets get added in pen on a printed plan
  • Every change means measuring cable metres again
  • Two ideas can only be compared in your head
The outcome
  • You place points in the plan and view them in 3D
  • The material list and cost update themselves
  • You put variants side by side before breaking walls
Who it is for
  • Contractors pricing an installation
  • People renovating their own flat or house
  • People planning outlet layouts in an office
03 / Key Features

Key Features

The most important capabilities, explained in practical terms.

Precise 2D floor-plan editor

Draw walls, rooms, doors and windows on an SVG canvas with snapping, grid, angle constraints, measurement, pan, zoom, selection, move, delete and full undo/redo.

Synchronized 3D model

An interactive 3D viewer (React Three Fiber) is generated from the same canonical geometry, with door and window openings, and stays in sync with the 2D plan.

Electrical points & catalog

Place sockets, switches, lights and other components from a built-in catalog, together with distribution boards and boxes.

Manual cable routing & circuits

Route cables by hand with editable paths, manage circuits and isolation, and inspect properties with a live cable-run breakdown.

Live bill of materials & cost

A persistent material counter computes cable length, reserve, waste, packaging, box and accessory counts, exports the BOM to CSV and estimates cost.

Variants & comparison

Create project variants and compare two electrical solutions side by side before you commit.

Configurable validation

A configurable validation engine flags issues against your own rules so plans stay consistent.

Draw or import a plan

Start by drawing manually, or import a 2D plan (image or PDF), calibrate the real-world scale and approve detected geometry before generating the 3D model.
