Bill Split Calculator FREE
Split a bill between people in equal or unequal shares, with the tip folded in and the cents distributed so the parts add up to the total.
Split the bill
Split a bill in uneven shares. Two people on one share each and a third on two is written 1:1:2.
How this is calculated
Enter the bill, an optional tip and the shares. "1:1:2" means the third person pays twice the others; leaving it as a single number splits evenly. Each share is shown as money, and the tip is spread in the same proportion.
Rounding to cents is done so that the parts sum to the bill exactly: the leftover cents go to the largest shares rather than vanishing or appearing from nowhere.
For a tip on a bill split evenly between people, the tip calculator is the quicker tool; this one exists for the uneven case.
