Selling Price Calculator FREE
Start from the cost and the margin or markup you want, and get the price to charge, the profit and the other percentage.
Price from margin or markup
The price a given cost needs in order to hit a target margin or a target markup.
How this is calculated
Enter what an item costs and the percentage you want on top, and say whether that percentage is a markup (on cost) or a margin (on price). The calculator returns the price, the profit in money and the other percentage, so the two definitions stop being confused.
The difference matters: a 50% markup on a cost of 100 is a price of 150, but a 50% margin on the same cost is a price of 200. A margin of 100% or more is impossible, and the calculator says so instead of dividing by zero.
To go the other way, from a known cost and price to the margin and markup they imply, use the margin and markup calculator.
